“Honor the Lord with your body” (I Corinthians 6:20).
The Scripture says that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. We are commanded to honor the Lord with our bodies. How do you do that? You take care of it. You respect it. You treat it as valuable. You use your body to bring Him glory. When you stand strong against temptation, you are honoring the Lord with your body. When you take care of yourself by eating properly and getting enough sleep, you are honoring the Lord with your body. You are saying, “Lord, thank You for this gift of life. I am choosing to take care of myself so that I can serve You with my whole heart, mind, and strength.” As we enter into this holiday season, remember to honor the Lord by taking care of your body. Enjoy the treasures of the season, but don’t allow the hustle and bustle of the season to rob you from simply enjoying the blessing of your friends, family, and loved ones. As you honor the Lord with your body, you will be strengthened and empowered by His peace. You’ll be able to stand against temptation and walk in love this holiday season and all the days of your life!
Dear Father in Heaven, today I choose to honor You with my body. Thank You for the gift of life. Thank You for empowering me against temptation. Show me Your plan for me today so that I can honor You in everything I do. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Refuse Bitterness
“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice” (Ephesians 4:31 NIV).
Bitterness is an extremely destructive force. It seeps into the depths of your heart when you choose not to forgive someone. When you harbor unforgiveness, it closes the door to God’s working in your life. The Bible even tells us that if we choose not to forgive others, God cannot even hear our prayers. Thank God that He has empowered us to forgive and release bitterness! You have the choice to get rid of bitterness so you can live in freedom! You may have been through unfair situations, but it’s not over until God says it’s over. God always has the final say, and He is a God of justice. God sees every wrong that’s ever been done to you. He sees every unfair situation. If you will stay in faith and keep your hopes up, He will make your wrongs right. He’ll bring justice into your life. Your attitude should be, “It may have been unfair. They may have done me wrong. But I refuse to get bitter. I know my time is coming.” As you choose forgiveness and keep your thoughts focused on the Word of God, you will walk in complete freedom in every area of your life!
Heavenly Father, today I refuse bitterness. I refuse to allow the past to keep me stuck. Right now I forgive those who have hurt me. I pray blessing on them, that they would come to know Your Truth. Father, thank You for setting my heart free today. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Believe and Receive
“Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24, NIV).
Has God spoken things to your heart that haven’t come to pass yet? Sometimes when we are believing for things, it’s easy to let circumstances and the pressures of life drag us down. But when you make the choice to receive your promise by picturing it in your mind’s eye, and declaring it with the words of your mouth, your faith becomes stronger. You begin to feel more confident. You begin to feel more settled. You begin to have joy and peace because you know God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. What are you believing for God to do in your life today? Can you see it in your mind’s eye? Can you see yourself healed? Can you see yourself paying off that last debt? Can you see yourself at your ideal weight? Can you see yourself sharing the gospel with a family member or coworker? Ask the Lord to give you the picture of what He sees when He looks at you. As you open your heart and allow God’s thoughts to become your thoughts, and your receive His promises by faith, just like it says in the above verse—whatever you ask for in prayer will be yours!

Hunger For Righteousness
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled” (Matthew 5:6, NIV).
In the natural, what do you do when you’re hungry for something and you’re just not sure what will satisfy you? Maybe you think of something to eat but it doesn’t quite hit the spot. Spiritual hunger works the same way. You may feel a restlessness or unsettledness, but you can’t quite figure out what will satisfy it. You may try to fill that need with other things—food, addictions, people—but only God can fill that hunger. The verse above says that righteousness will fill, or satisfy. When you hunger and thirst for righteousness, God’s way of doing things, you will be spiritually satisfied. But just like you have to take time to eat in the natural, you have to take time to “eat” or partake of God’s righteousness. Take time everyday and devote it to the Lord with prayer, worship, and the study of His Word. Stay in fellowship with other believers by attending church regularly. As you focus your hunger on God’s righteousness you will be filled and live satisfied in Him all the days of your life.

Stop Look & Listen for God's Plan
You can experience a new level of trusting God and learn to see His hand at work in any situation.
When we were kids we learned to stop, look and listen before stepping into the street. That’s good advice for us today when we encounter circumstances where it seems God has abandoned us or doesn’t care.
To see God at work in any situation:
STOP
The psalmist said, “Cease striving and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10 NASB). Before you head off in a direction that may not lead you where you think you want to go . . . take some time to be quiet and collect your thoughts.
LOOK
Or in this case, LOOK UP! “I look up to the mountains — does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lord” (Psalm 121:1-2 NLT). When we look up, we see the face of a heavenly Father who loves us and wants the very best for us . . . no matter what we may be going through.
LISTEN
Listen for what God has to say to you. Just say, “Speak, Lord. I am your servant and I am listening” (1 Samuel 3:10 NCV). God speaks to us — through the Bible, through Godly counsel and through our inner spirit by His Holy Spirit.
I truly believe that applying these simple principles to your life will enable you to see God’s hand at work in any situation.
